Dr. Norma Metheny
receives the 2012 Senior Scientist Recognition Program Award.
Dr. Sheila Leander presents a bouquet of flowers from the School of
Nursing. The program award provides recognition by peers for
MNRS members' scholarly achievement, mentorship, and service and
represents the highest class of membership.

former PhD nursing student, received
first place award for the PhD student poster session.
Dr. Jefferson graduated January 2012. The title of the poster
was "Attitudes, Subjective Norms, and Intentions Regarding Infant
Feeding Methods Among Black College Students." Dr. Joanne
Schneider was the chair of her
dissertation committee.

Dr. Elizabeth Gephart,
former DNP student, received third place award for the DNP
student poster session. The title of the poster was "Use of
Prevention and Prevention Plus Management Guidelines for Youth with
Development Disabilities Living in Group Homes." Dr. Gephart
graduated summer 2011. Dr. Deborah Loman was the
project chairperson.
